One NSCC member paid record $40bn to cover dues in Q3
The cash call was 141% larger than the previous quarter
One clearing member of the National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC) had to pay $40.7 billion to the central counterparty (CCP) in Q3, topping the previous peak payment obligation by more than 77%.
The peak cash call was 141% larger than the previous quarter and the biggest reported by the CCP since public disclosures began in 2015.
